    Eye Exam

    Tuesday, June 3, 2008, 07:31 PM [General]

I had my first eye exam since my illness.  I was afraid my eyes had been effected and I was right.  There was quite a change in my eye sight, and not for the better.  I got my new specs today and I can see so much better.  They are great, another thing to appreciate.

    Results of blog on Lowes

    Thursday, May 22, 2008, 03:51 PM [General]

In my last blog a told of my trials and tribulations with Lowes.  I received a call from the manager of our local Lowes after I made a call to the corporate office.  The lady at the corporate office was very nice and assured me the problem would be fixed.  The manager told me he is now aware of the problem and has taken steps to eliminate it.  I will give them time to make corrections and let you know.

    Venting

    Friday, May 16, 2008, 04:51 PM [General]

As I have mentioned before we are building an addition onto our house.  We are being our own contractors so that means lots of trips to our local Lowes.  I don't usually have a problem being disabled but I have had a heck of a time at Lowes.  It is a large store so I depend on the electric carts to shop.  Today was the final straw.  They have three carts and today they were all charging at 1:00 PM.  The time before there was only one cart and they could not find the key.  Twice before I have been stranded in the back of the store because the cart ran out of power.  I have had several other bad expriences with Lowes, is it just me or have others had problems, maybe it is just our local store.

Well there now, I feel better just venting to people who would understand.  Thanks for the ears.

My husband and I are thinking of going somewhere with a beach this summer.  My question is since I am a double amputee how can I manage the sand and water?  This is my first summer with my prosthetics and I am at a loss.  Any advise?

    Rain Again

    Friday, May 9, 2008, 02:28 PM [General]

Well it rained again this morning which means no bike ride,  My dogs are about to go crazy they have taken to running up and down the hall, I am thinking about joining them, if only I had legs.  It is back to the stepper again today.  Oh joy.

We are all looking forward to tomorrow, maybe the sun will shine but for today it is indoor peddling for me.  At least my grass and shrubs are looking good.
