Ok Suzanne, I took the plunge and went to Costco. The lady took one look at me and said you need an electric cart. I warned her I didn't know how to run one. Well, I did it any way. I only nudjed 2 people and clipped a display. Not to bad but I still do not get it why I have to have a towering red flag that seems to tower over the freezer cases on the back of the cart. That has been my first outing since July. So I came home and slept for 3 hours. That is so neat that you have got a mini van. Did it cost a lot to put your left foot accelerator in? We are wondering if it would be easier to get in a minivan versus a car?

Hey Suzanne, Its been since july and I still can't walk on my own with this heavy beast. I use cruthes or wheelchair all the time. My phyiscal therapist came for 8 weeks and said I should be walking on my own by now. THE CAST on my leg is so large at the top to my knee that literally nothing fits on this dude.Thank goodness I have my faith because this Thursday gives me to much anxiety. Every time I have a CT scan of my lungs I go into the panic mode. BTW this morning I was trying to look like a lady and trying to lift the beast in the car and got my fingers smashed in the knee mecanism. EEEEEK

Thanks Suzanne for your comment. I laughed because I have gained some weight and thats exactly what I need to do is lose but unless I get moving with this rock on my leg its not going to happen. I also have 2 straps to tie the leg on. And I so related also when you said your exhausted by the time you get the gel liner on. By the way how long does it take to shrink the stump? It doesn"t look like mine is going to shrink any time soon. They told me I should be shrinking by now.

Welcome Suzanne, I am an aka. Would like to know how you like your suction socket and if it is extremly bulky and does it make sounds. Would also like to know if you have driven the car with what device. I am kind of new at this and constantly looking for info.
