Has anyone seen the movie Dolphin Tale? It's a true story about a dolphin that gets a prosthetic fin! I took my grand-daughters (4 & 6 ) and they said Mee-Maw that dolphin is like you!! They sat there and watched the whole movie and told me that they were very proud of me for all I do for them!! I was so touched that I cried and gave them a BIG HUG! If you haven't seen it yet you should! I really enjoyed it and made me think how far I have come!
Truly Blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I just made it to my 1st Anniversary of my amputation! I have come a long way and have learned so much about coping as an amputee!! I have walked here and there on my own and balance is getting better! I still have pain when I walk on the prosthetic but is getting better!! I have arthritus in both knees but doing exercises helps and I'm getting more sure of myself. Every morning I put on my leg and keep going! The thing is to NOT GIVE UP and it will feel like second nature to me someday!!
I also found out on the same day that my daughter had a ultrasound done and found out it's a boy due late Sept. We are so excited because she has 2 girls already who are 3 & 4 years old! They are excited too! They want a brother!!!!!
Thanks to you all for helping me get though this year of learning to do things in a whole different way!!

thank you for the advice! Kids are great arent they! I have two boys myself and they have definetly been my rock!
