my road to my amputation started with strep b of the heart vaule back in dec of 06, that ended up going into have the old heart vaule replaced by a titanium heart micro vaule. Thats also when i had the lupis anti quagulation factor in my blood that caused the clots in my legs. next came clot removal surgery on my right leg in jan of 07, as that surgery failed to save my leg and had a leg bleed out in icu that led back to the or to have it removed. After the removal my dr had to do several revisions be for he got all the dead tissue out so it can finaly heal.

after i left the hospital i spent all most 3 months @ a nurseing home doing daily rehab mon- friday with sat n sun off and yes it very muched sucked being there. i was there from mar 2 - may 5th when i was released to finally go home again. also durring this time i wasnt working and lost my appartment so im slowly recovering at my parents place :( but its better then paying 200 bucks a day at the nurseing home :\.

all and all my pride is shatterd thinking when will i be able to go back to work again in my mind the answer is maybe ill never get back to work and to my old self, but at this time things look grim for me....

ps... for those that want to know what i did for work durring this time this happend i was an event services staff member witch my responsabilities included security in oregon and in cali, traffic flagger in oregon and washington, along with last but not least i was an alcohol monitor in oregon oh and i forgot i also did guest services work on rare occasions go figure lol

this concludes my story ty for reading it and good luck to u all :)

    Hi Brian,
I read your story and feel you, I had to give up my apartment and move to my Grandpa's and also have not been able to go back to work yet. You will get back to a new normal soon, thats what I tell myself. These are all tests to see what we are really made of, we are stronger than the average person because we are coping and learning and somday we won't remember what the old normal was. Hope you have a Happy New Year.
    Take care and stay strong.
