After my amputation a young lady about 25 would come and help me at home. One day she asked me if my leg is going to grow back. Did she think i was a Lizard or something. Even my sister would never ask such dumb question. The worst thing is that is that she became a nurse about 2 yrs ago.

    About me

    Monday, December 3, 2007, 05:07 PM [General]

Before my diagnosis I was a runner. i was diagnosed in 2005, and had to start Chemo a week after my diagnosis. Somehow i always blamed myself for it. CRAZY RIGHT. I use to have a lot of pain and swelling around my pelvic. I was so scared that it might be something serious i never told my parents.

I think i was in and out of hospitals for 2yrs then i had to go for a metal hip replacement. Everything went fine. Two month after that i went to NYU medical center to learn how to walk agan. However while i was there the metal that was use to replace my pelvic bone was not healing properly so i had to have an amputation the next day. The worst thing that happen to me after my amputation was taht every time i  looked at my leg i started crying and i think this lasted a week.  The craziest thing is that i also had lung cancer but miraculously it disapeared. LUCKY ME

Now i'm doing well, i wear my prosthesis when i am going out. I am in college and i want to major in Architecture and art.
