I found a neat vintage cruiser for sale for only $20. It needs some repairs, but I figure I can make it rideable. Problem: I haven't ridden a bike since my amputation. I'm a R AK amputee. Give me all thw advice you've got. Ideally I'd like to be able to ride on the road to work and to town. There's a bike path behind my building, though, which seems like a safer option. How do I get back on a bike?

Check the videos on the site. If I remember right there was a video of someone sort of giving a lesson on getting back on a bike and riding. You may also want to consult with your prosthetisist or a physical therapist about it. James |

James reminded me of the video. It is from Rick on this site, but I found it on youtube: |
