Winter is coming - watch out

    Hi Everyone,

I am sorry about some of my previous blogs. Josh has pointed out that I should not only talk about the opportunity I am promoting  so I will comply the best I can. It sincerely was only because I believe it  is critical for all amputees to learn about this benefit..

Ignoring that though, my life is ticking along nicely and am now looking forward to the first snowfall. I love the snow for about two months then it turns into crap - in my mind.

Occasionally during our long winter season - approximatelly four months give or take another month. Seems like forever some years. I have some trouble navigating in the winter. In fact I can count on falling down at leat 3-4 times every year.

Where I live is a perfect place to snowmobile and if I had a reliable machine I would most likley do more of it.. Maybe it is time for a new machine.

For those in the lower U.S. you don't even know what you are missing.

But I must say I'd rather bundle up in the winter than have to strip down to nothing in the heat of summer.

I am a bilateral Bk and stripping isn't highly recommend at my age.

Sorry Jim, but the fact that Hussein Obama is toting a national health care plan is why benefits must decrease if he is elected President. Think about it, under today's standards, quality of care is at an all-time low, how can one not reasonably assume that it would get worse if every single American, and all the illegals living in our country (another issue supported by Obama), be provided the same care? Duh!

Thanks Jim, for your comment, and I agree, I have to let the past go. I think the reason I haven't been able to do that is because of dealing with the failure of not walking. The present I started working on this past June, I have been trying desperately to lose some weight, but with very little progress, but I am still trying. Choice # 1 is an ultimate goal, but I would settle for choice#2, just to open more doors for me, literally...I have 3 rooms in my house that the wheelchair does not fit through, so walking on crutches just a little would improve my life in so many ways. Thanks again for your interest and encouragement.

    Hey Jim:

Sorry about the pain you are experiencing. I hate wearing my prosthesis because it is so uncomfortable. I am a hemiP (leg, pelvis & hip), so the prosth goes all the way up. I can hardly breath and it causes blisters, bruising & sores. I usually only wear it at work and throw the damn thing in the corner on the weekends. Welcome to LT4!!! You seem very nice and will meet many nice friends over time.

    hey jim,

i am sure you will find some friends here. i also know they will try to help you with the pain issues. my daughter was so small at time of amputation that she didn't really have that problem. also, she is an ak, and too young to discuss sock issues. sorry that we can't help.

    take care and good luck
