Hi everyone
I got wiped out on my motorbike by a 78 year old in 2007. Lost use of left arm due to brachial plexus injury. Had my spine & neck fused & my diaphragm doesn't work very well, limiting my exercise tolerance.
However, after regaining no recovery from initial surgery & due to pain level I had my arm removed in February 2011.
I am now finding myself able to do a little more, but with this now comes added frustration & a whole spectrum of emotions. I've not joined any groups until now relating to my accident in my head's refusal to label myself as disabled.
I met a guy in hospital who I did keep in touch with & he was telling me recently of the One Handed Golf Society. I admit that in my ignorance I did not think Golf would be possible.
So, this finally got me thinking that I should have a look and see which groups and what people are out there. I am bored to tears with sitting at home.
I will value & appreciate any positive advice & suggestions people can give me.
David
