First I have no issue with devotees or anyone who wants to be in love or obsessed with any type of person. But I do take issue with dishonesty and falsely representing oneself in an atmosphere where it is alltoo eaasy togain the affection and trust of some unsuspecting individual to then maniipulating that trust at a later time to their own end.

 I'm not certain if this has been a subject of concern on the site or not, but during my brief time as an amputee, several female amputees have told me of devotee stalking, harassment, and annoyance and I too have been a recipient of vague and unsolicited affection where when addresed, the perp merely replied, I just want to make amputee friends. 

If that is indeed true, then I would think Walter Reed (sp) might be a great place to begin making friends as I know the boys and girls of the millitary are in need of someone to goof around with.

So, to open the conversation, I'd just like to ask if anyone with a true amputation feels that they are right now being  "befriended" by someone with no amputation that has parapheliac or devotee tendencies.

 Again this group is not meant as a witch hunt. I understand the desire to help and advocate for those less fortunate than themselves. It is aslo equally as admirable to divulge and disclaim ones honest intentionss when deciding to do so through a medium so largely anonymous with the potential to be downright misleading.

With all that said, does anyone have devotee tale that they'd like to divulge or discuss with the goal of learning, gaining insight, and taking positive action..
