    Veteran - Retired AF

    Wednesday, September 19, 2007, 11:57 AM [General]

I am a Retired Air Force - Disabled Veteran.

I am a hip disarticulation amputee (no left leg) .

I became an amputee fairly young, and my prosthtic leg was so slow, iIhave pretty much used hi-tech wheelchairs and crutches.

I was really active in wheelchair sports for several years (Veterans Wheelchair Games, DAV ski clinic, Wright State Univ. Basketball).

The majority of my 20's & 30's were spent on individual sports like wheelchair road racing and 3-track skiing.

I am a Boy Scout Assistant Scout Master for my son's Troop, and own a 70 Chevelle that hasn't been on the road awhile.

I would be interested in swapping new LEFT shoes for new RIGHT shoes, since I don't use my prosthetic leg.

I have many shoes (hiking boot, dress shoe, moccasin, and tennis shoe) I would like to trade.

    Shoes sizes range between 11 & 11-1/2 (I have a few 10-1/2's).

I will send images if anyone is interested.

Hey DG! Cool chairs, I have never heard of them before. I use a welded Quickie All
Court for Basketball and pushing track.

We may have played each other in the past. I have played basketball in Charlotte for about 17 years for the Tarwheels, then the Hornets and currently the Bobcats.

Labiak, that was the guy. What a mouth! :(

Dayton, as far as I know does not have (4 a long time) a WC softwball team anymore. Although, there have been efforts at Wright State, but as you now it's a $/commitment thing.

I may bring my BB chair to the Nutter Center over one Tuesday night soon to shoot around.

Not interested in driving to Columbus for softball. Been there did that.

I do have a few shoes that size 12, moccasins, hiking tennis shoe and a slipper with a sole. Hopping kills arches. :(

We don't have anyone named Corey who plays for Columbus. Larry Labiak now plays for Schamburgh (suburb of Chicago). We beat them pretty bad in St. Paul.

I didn't know Dayton had a wc softball team. I would love to play here instead of driving to Columbus twice a week to practice. I don't play basketball, however, I sometimes practice with the guys from Wright State to stay in shape. It's a hell of a workout?

Are you interested in softball again? We need players in Columbus. We are pretty good. Overall #5 in nation. We have only 3-4 class 3's. But our class 2's are awesome. We only have 11-12 players, so we need more. You may be an asset for the team. Let me know.

I wear size 12 shoes. A little larger than I saw in your profile. (lol) Please keep in touch. We share many similar interst.
