    Hey,

    Cool site.

I am a 43 yr old left leg above-the-knee amputee. 5 brothers 1 sister happily married for 15 yrs. Parents still together and both living. From Connecticut. Athletic, rambunctious, rebellious, intelligent, hard working, self-motivated, Vice President and hands-on field worker for a commercial construction company. Played hockey, track & field, basketball, football,(all these pre-amp) skier, ski racer, ski instructor, adaptive skiing instructor, aquatics instructor, (swimming, sailing, canoing kayaking, tubing, water skiing, barefoot water skiing one foot , adaptive sit water skiing, scuba diving), CPR, First Aid, and Life Guard instructor trainer for the Red Cross (all of these post amp) high school drop-out w/GED and 4 years of special-needs physical education college training and student teaching. Rode and ride motorcycles all my life since 6 yrs old (still ride). Raced in a peewee motor-cross @ 8yrs and was street licensed at 16. Two months into street riding a car driver didn't see me and wham bam thank you Mam crash bang boom. I'd like to say I woke in the hospital but no: I was coherent through the entire ordeal and remember it all as if it were the day before yesterday. I knew when it happened "Life Goes On" and for all my days to come I will cherish each moment. Left home @ 17 worked construction as a one-legged-carpenter and started my own home improvements company at age 21. Left construction at 28 yrs old and became an automation engineer designing, building and programming robotics and automation equipment until I got fat and could not even wear my leg. (Part-time hobby now) Since 1998 I've been back into construction. (lost that 30 lbs. fast).

My story is one of success and happiness but be aware I had my "Foggy Days" addicted to sex, drugs, and rock & roll. Drugs being the worst and whoa I was down deep, low, bottom of the barrel, no way out but up and here I am.

All people small & tall, large & "LessThanFour" need a way to love life and make each moment count. A web site like this will only help and thank the stars for people like Josh Sundquist and so many of you for your positive outlooks and willingness to spread it to others.
