ive only have been amputated a little over 1 year but it seems like much longer. so much has happened and my eyes have been opened wide. i've never learned so much about life than in the past year...the joy of accomplishing a simple task to the injuctises of the world due to prejudice.
i have been married to the same man for 26years. i realized the other night that he has had a amputation too. meaning, that this whole process has been a learning experience for him also . it has been hard but he has stuck by me. he is my friend.

BartI lost my right hand in a farm accident four years ago, and I have a good prodtheic hand, but my helpmate of 49 years is awesome too!
