Wednesday, February 24, 2010, 06:36 PM EST [General]

Are you an amputee and want to learn to surf? AmpSurf.org has an upcoming surf clinic in Santa Cruz, CA on March 13, 2010 from 8 a.m - 1 p.m. We will have an after-surf party fundraiser from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To sign up on-line go to:

    www.ampsurf.org

Our mission is to help injured/disabled veterans and civilians with disabilities feel the healing power of the ocean through adaptive surfing. You can also find us on Facebook as The Association of Amputee Surfers.

We have a whole weekend of activities planned. Friday night BBQ, Surfing clinic Saturday, fundraising party in the afternoon, dinner on Saturday night with your new found friends! Lodging deals are available too! If you can't make this one, you'll see on the site that we have a clinic every month up and down the California coast.

Thanks, Jo. It's really unfortunate that we must always be on our guard, but I suppose that is the negative side of the internet. I hope it doesn't prevent the rest of us from connecting and sharing. Your photos and stories are very inspiring. (My parents live near Pismo Beach and my cousins like surfing there.)

I also hope that Josh and the other lessthanfour.org administrators will be vigilant in helping to protect the integrity of this site.

    Jo,
Thanks for the feedback on the disabled parking notice. I use it all the time when I see people who are parked in the handicap parking spots. I just put a copy on their windshields.
If you would like a full version copy and where you can download it in a format that you can change it to your liking just stop by my web page. www.MoeJones.com
Please ignore some of my links on my web page I am planning on updating the site when I get some time to do so.
