[ General]
After my amputation, the best thing I did to improve the quality of my life was to start participating in adaptive sports. I was pretty bummed about losing my leg, but I decided to not let it ruin the life I saved (I mean, what's the point of that? Right?)
So I've been trying all different kinds of sports and although I have a long way to go to be good at them, I have much more energy, confidence and joy now. And it's not just the activities themselves, but the wonderful instructors, volunteers and other disabled friends I have made. There are a lot of great adaptive programs out there. You just have to look around. Try different activities to find the ones you like. You never know, unless you try... right?

Hi Jo,
SybilYou are right. I tried skiing and fell in love. I need to make the time to try the other sports that are offered. Wanted to go last weekend but already had another engagement planned. You look like you had a blast.
