My name is Tamera, and although I not an amputee, I do have a fair amount of experience with disabilities. When I was 26 years old, I had an accident at work, and 3 surgeries later, I just found out that I am a candidate (real meaning guinea pig) for an implanted device. However, that's not the real reason I decided to join this wonderful site! I am a nurse, and I am currently working on my Master's. I am also a Legal Nurse Consultant, and I found this website while researching prosthetics for a client I am working with. I have observed first hand the changes that people undergo when they attend support groups. I certainly hope that I will be able to stay in touch with this group, and possibly even ask some personal questions about the best ankle joints or socks or the like!

I have some transition tips on there as I realize that not ever has to or needs to go all the way. My daughter started doing much better in school a few years after we started eating this way. My sister's son was healed from his reflux and his story (Stephen's story) is on megwolff.com
