Hi Blair, the knee is a Freedom innovation Plie'2 MPC knee. I've only had it 5 months now but it's the best thing to happen to me since my amputation. It's microprocessor controlled valve system with adjustable hydraulic resistance and adjustable air pressured cylinder. basically it lets you set the resistance for stance and air pressure for enhanced swing. this is on top of the processor settings done of how you walk, which are made via bluetooth with a computer. It lets you have more control over how your leg works than any other mpc knee. to me it seems it'll almost walk itself and it'll keep you from falling with its stumble recovery. it's waterproof to a fairly shallow depth (forgot how much) uses removable battery (nicon camera battery I believe) and it's lighter than the cleg or rheo and lets you use most any foot with it unlike the cleg. I picked a endolite elite blade foot mostly because it's a split foot with an indepedent heel spring. I spend lots of time on uneven terrain and this setup does great. jon |
