I also think it's a bit ironic, becuase as an amputee I am probably more reliant on my car than an able bodied person would be. And I would guess that goes for all leg-amps. You guys concerned about gas prices?

Very funny!! My friend just had me a new tee shirt made that said I cannot afford an arm and a leg..guess that is certainly true with the gas prices. I use a manual wheelchair and I have no special handicap features on my vehicle, so pulling the wheelchair in and out gets to be a hassle at times, so I don't use as much gas as I used to....good thing since the prices would cost me another limb. |

Hello Josh,Yeah that's about the size of it LOL.Yes I'm concern about the gas prices,it is outrageous!! I just got the car adaptive put in my car so I can drive,I'm not a happy camper because I live in the country and it is a long walk into town.I heard it is going to get worse yet!! Dawn |
Hi Josh! I've never been dependent on anything other than my car and my prosthetics..and I can't drive anything but an A/T(automatic trans). I've heard that M/T(manual transmission) saves on gas more and diesel-powered autos..Although I could depend on my trusty prosthesis for long walks it's quite inconvenient to be doing just that for errands because of humidity(I live in a tropical country, it's like summer all year round except during rainy season when yuo don't have a choice but to really drive). Btw, is the photo up top for real?:)
