Hey everyone -- In response to concerns raised by several members recently about privacy and safety, I have added a new check-box requirement to the <4 registration page which requires people to say they are an amputee (or a family member of an amputee) to join. Obviously this is far from being a foolproof method for keeping out unwanted stalkers and the like, but it is the best I can do. If you have other ideas, let me know.
Many people received messages recently from a member called Regina. This was a scam and she has been deleted from the community. Many thanks to those of you who alerted her to me. Unfortunately it took me several days to delete her because several of those who contacted me about Regina sent only the message that she gave me without sending her Username. I was unable to delete her until I received her username. In the future, if a member harasses you or tries to scam you, please send me their user name right away.
Is response to concerns about privacy, please remember that you can always set anything--your photos, your blogs, your videos, whatever--to be "private" or just for "friends." You do not need to share things with "the world" if you don't want to.
I try to respond to all of my messages on <4 within a couple days. If you ever have pressing concerns, please email me directly at JoshSundquist @ gmail.com or if it is an emergency, please call me anytime 24-7 on my cell phone at 757-561-6641.
