If you have one leg (I mean really have on leg--I am not including BK's or low AK's here, because you have 1.5 legs), you can never become a car thief.
Think about it. You break into a car, get in the driver’s seat while the
alarm is going off and all that, and then you discover, whoops, the car is manual transmision.
So you run away on your crutches, and then the cops come and interview the witnesses:
"So, brown hair, about 5'10", medium build...any distinguishing characteristics? Tattoos, for example?"
"Well, Officer, he did have...one leg."
And then, as all of us who have seen the "The Fugitive" know, you, the amputee, are screwed.
Less Than Four: 101 Amputees Share Their Stories is your chance to give other amputees advice and tell them about your life. It will be published in a few months and available on Amazon.com, this website, and for order through your local bookstore.
And we want you to write a chapter for it.
If you have amputee friends, please tell them, too.
I have a special gift for members of this community. As some of you know, I tour the country as a comedian and inspirational speaker. I recent released a live CD recording of my comedy show, which is called "One Legged Stand Up Comedy."
Most of my jokes are about, well, having one leg, so I know that you are really going to enjoy it.
For a limited time (one week) I am going to offer a free copy as my gift to everyone on LessThanFour. All you do is click on the link below and you'll go to my website. Enter the discount code "LessThanFour" when you are checking out. This code will subtract the cost of the CD. All you pay is shipping, like 3 or 4 bucks.
Anyway, please enjoy and share with your friends/family so they can better understand what it's like to be an amputee (and some things that are kind of funny about it, too).
Hey everyone, we've hired a designer to help us develop the cover for the upcoming LessThanFour book. (Hopefully you're considering writing a chapter for it!)
Here are the two concepts. As you can see, they are meant to look a lot like this website--that's why it has the same logo, same color scheme, same slanted lines, etc.
