    Kaushal:

Thanks for the reply. Nice to befriend a fellow academic scholar though I must say you have surpassed me with your PHd! =)
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Business Administration. Still we so share in and account for only 10% of the World's population!

I completely understand the history & ongoing tensions that exist between India & Pakistan. Funny though because here in the USA my husband has many good friends from India and we hope to go and visit one of our best friends from India who is currently living in the UK.

My husband is more of a moderately liberal Pakistani. As you know Pakistan is struggling within itself and things are not stable (what's new, right?). Word is that Marshall Law is set to be implimented around Nov. 15th. I really don't see it making much of a difference in regard to the political disparity. Likewise, we could discuss the problems in Pakistan for hours and hours to no avail.

I think it says a lot about your character that you are so determined to walk instead of relying on a wheelchair or crutches. I know it has to be difficult some days for even walking distances is sometimes problematic for me with one bka. Luckily for you as a college professor you get carte blanche parking privileges ;) becaues I know what it is like to have to trek across a large college campus...even with special parking privileges. Where there is a Will, there is a way! =)

I too choose to think positively about life and take each day and moment as it comes. Life is too short to not be happy and too fragile not to be appreciative every day for all the good things in our lives regardless of one's situation.

The common factors that I have discovered among most of the amputees on this site are their enormous compassion, strength, determination and courage. Indeed everything happens for a reason and God does not take without giving something of greater value in return...even though it sometimes takes awhile to realize the gifts/blessings.

Best Wishes to you and your family. I'm look forward to hearing from you to discuss life & world issues of interest.
