New amputee

I'm not female, but I am a bk amputee. I have worn a prosthesis for years ( since 1979) There have probably been many advances since I first started to walk with my new leg, but I would sure try to answer any questions, to the best of my ability. I lost my leg in a motorcycle accident, but resumed work for several years and finally retired. Today , I work part time a couple of hours a day. I don't know how to ask or answer questions on this site, but am willing to learn. I am 58 yrs old. woodn1 woodn1 |

I am female but am AK. I would be happy to answer any questions you have. I lost my left leg in December 2003 to Osteosarcoma. I have been up and going ever since chemo ended, and am barely limited. Let me know how I can help you! Rachel |

Tracy -- I am neither female nor a BK, but welcome to the site. I hope you find some of the answers you are looking for. You might post some specific questions either here on your blog or in the discussion group under groups. Cheers, Josh
