♥© Hi. I'm so glad that i found this site it makes me , yes me, feel normal!!! That is saying alot. I very rarely feel normal. And yes people like to say "What is normal?" Yeah Yeah well when i say normal I mean your going into a public place and people arent staring at you . Or asking questions like what did you do to yourself. These are questions I get tired of answering. I feel like asking an able bodied person how they mange with so many limbs getting in to way. Am I the only one who feels this way. I have now gotten to the point of makin up stories as to what has happened. I have even forgot to tell people that I was jokin. LOL It can be a real comedy act. I have to love kids though they are shameless and open honest and only askin the questions their parents are dying to know..... oh man i love it . Well i love to laugh and its fun to swap "war stories" so anytime and im more than happy to join in!!!!

Hope tomeet and interact with many of you!!!

talk to you later GooGiE aka melissa

I get annoyed when people ask me questions about my leg, but I've learned to understand their curiosity, and I'd rather have a conversation with somebody that just be stared at. I have some good kid stories in my blogs, I work at an after school program. It's amazing how fast kids forget that I have a fake leg. They can't get over it for a couple days, then a month later they're asking to jump rope with them.

    Hi Melissa! Nice name!

People stare at you? Are you a celebrity? Just kidding! Why don't you look at it that way? Like you are famous, special, something to look at! It is the truth. People like us make AB people take a second look at their own lives. Just make sure you look good and keep smiling!

its good you keep the smiles going sometimes people are not trying to be rude just to start a conversation with you , so keep the faith that people out there still care about one and another

HI Mellisa, I can totally relate. My son took me to the bank the other day in the wheel chair and the gaurd just stared at me. My son was so embarrased when I said ,please don't stare at me it was a motorcycle accident when my son said MOM. He said why didn't you tell him it was cancer and I said they make you feel like your in the grave already. And after 4 times with cancer you don't want to say it any more. Nice meeting you.
