    Doing much better now.

OK.  I've been in a "funk" for the last couple of weeks.  It happens.  I think I'm just feeling my age.  I'll be 66 on Saturday.  As my wife pointed out, 66 on the 6th means I'm the work of Satan.  666.  I thought she had figured that out durning the honeymoon.

It seems like it wasn't that long ago that I could move all the parts of my body without making an involuntary noise.  Things either, squeak, pop or I let out an audible sound.  Frump.

Well, Happy Early Birthday! Hey, all those involuntary nioses helps remind us were still kickin!
Feeling funky during this time of the year is pretty natural for folks around here. Weather getting gloomy and leaves changing and falling, it's only natural to feel down. It was getting dark here yesterday by 6:30. A month or so ago it was 8:30. The long summer sleep and the return of winter. Blah Blah Blah.....
I hope your mood lightens up, after all you have another year to celebrate in a few days. Take care

    Mike:

You seem pretty active with all the remodeling but yeah it gets frustrating when you want to get things done and there just doesn't seem to be enough disposable income. Frustration drains your energy and enthusiasm.

When I get in a funk, I go and do something else...take a little day trip or something. Usually taking a little nap works for me but sometimes I just need to get out!

I'd love to see more pics of the house in your profile pic. I love porches but unfortunately I have none...just got a little stoop by the front door!

My house was built in 1897! I need new carpeting and flooring downstairs, new kitchen cabinets would be nice, and some of the walls in my office and laundry room in the back of the house could use some sheetrock I'm sure as all I can see it painted paneling so I know there is nothing but probably 2x4's under the paneling. It's a big old house. I have lived in brand new million dollar houses but I love old houses. They just seemed to have more personality and character. Just wish mine had a porch. NO place to put one either cause I live in down and don't have the frontage for one.

Maybe you haven't heard the old saying about the "golden years": "It's not gold, it's rust!" LOL

Thanks for your comment. I just turned 55 myself. Funny thing was I was away and my bill for breakfast on that day was 10.03
    Appropriate for Oct 3.
    Cheers
