    It's been a while

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to give all those who are interested an update on my progress.  I am now wearing my permanent set of prostheses comfortably.  I have returned to work and I've gained back 15 of the 45lbs. that I lost.  All in all things are going pretty well.  The only problem I am still having is residual limb pain originating from the peroneal nerves.  I have decreased my dosage of Neurontin and Trileptal because I don't like the way they make me feel.  They worked really well for the phantom pain I was experiencing early on, but they're doing nothing for the nerve pain.  My doctor is looking into a "nerve block" procedure by contacting someone at Stanford.  I really know nothing about this so if anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Have a safe and happy new year!

    Michael

Does anyone know a compassionate prosthetist that might be able to help this guy?
