Not too happy in my remote area (town with 35K people in Montana)....my elbow lock was broken on my good arm...I had fixed it myself...on my "comfortable arm", several times, but a part I cannot make nor order myself was broken.  My prosthetist visits once a month to my town...he had the gall to ask me "do you fix this yourself?"  Then accused me of breaking it because of my taking it apart so I could attempt to repair!  I called him today, the day before he was supposed to return my good arm and parts for my backup (also breaking routinely, about once a week.)  He refused to see me.  I'm pissed. He's more concerned with money & reimbursement than helping me be productive.  He has my definitive arm that my old prosthetist basically wrote off $8K on after he retired.

I just need to be able to order parts from Hosmer MYSELF....I don't even need him for a new socket....I can do it MYSELF!  (It's not as pretty, but I've done it because I feel like he's taken my "definitive arm" in RANSOM, so I had to fabricate a tertiary arm in case he's an ****!)  I can sew, I can order parts (a lot faster and better than him because the catalog is online...I know the parts better than him!), go down to Wal-Mart or Joanne's fabrics....or the auto store for fiberglass or ebay for components!

ARGGGGGHHHHH!  I need this limb to work...so I can work!

It's really looking good!  Making biodiesel...my test vehicle, a slugmobile (Mercedes 240D) is on the way from Cincinnati.  My ex works forks for a petro-provider so she's really pissed, but I'll see if I can convince her (we have a good relationship...we have to...we now live together, but not sleeping together.)

Thanks to all comments...sliding under a car while being in a wheelcair is cool.  I ruined a shirt on the starter project, but saved my car from being unusable for my job.

Darned unhappy we have mandated Ethanol in gas here....corn based....my mileage has dropped 10% with no reduction in fuel prices....hence the Diesel idea.

Wish me luck, I think it'll really take off.  We have supply, collection ability and some capital!  Great way to teach a teenager that just "pick the stuff up, process, sell and profit" is not how to run a business...I have about 20 spreadsheets by now....he (16) had no idea things can get that complicated!  (He even wants to buy land to grow it...the spreadsheet for that is plain scary!)

Got my starter fixed today...a real problem when you need your car for work...wasn't easy and I had help, but it got done and my car works again!
