    Revision

    Wednesday, April 28, 2010, 7:19 PM [General]

Atlast I am perking up a bit, it is now day nine after surgery for revision of stump and removal of a nasty neuroma. Recovery is slow but glad to have it behind me, sick of hospital and missing my wife and children so much. I could not have the surgery at our local hospital so I travelled almost 600 km's to Christchurch's Saint Georges Hospital. They have been wonderful but I am very keen to get out of here.

    The Big Move

    Sunday, October 4, 2009, 12:04 AM [General]

Well we did it, we finally moved after many years of talking about it we took the plunge and life couldn't be better! In July we took a weeks vacation and hunted for a suitable home in the deep south of New Zealand, on the last day of our search we found what we wanted and put an offer in that was excepted. Its been a busy few months, packing and preparing our Christchurch home to rent and then shifting to our new home which is a 7 hour drive south of Christchurch. We managed the entire shift ourselves, looking back I dont know how we did but we are here anyway lol! We are living in a small rural town with a population of just 500 people, its very quiet. Our two youngest daughters have settled into there new schools and rural life really well. We left Christchurch with a dog and 2 cats, since arriving we have added a kid goat, a young lamb and 2 rabbits, apparently the chickens and pig will arrive soon.

Hi Stuart, my name is Tim and I am new to this site.i have been an amputee for over 10 years. Saw a post mentioning RSD and phantom pain. I dealt a lot with RSD and now phantom pain. Just wanted to see how our experiences were similar or not.

Hey Stuart, in my profile I wrote everyday is a prize. But it came from an Elton John song and the song talks about finding answers in the ski, but also added to my phrase there is more, the phrase is "life is precious and everyday is a prize." I just found out month ago my cancer is back so I live by this religiously. It it home to me. The little girl in the picture with you is gorgeous. Take care, Dayna
