clearly...people are insane! one would think that my fellow amputees would be glad to find someone that sees through our flawed appearance to try and get to know the person...yet they complain...it baffles me really. i think some people just like to complain. but i say, bah! to them. kudos to you for stickin around with all us crazies. being an amputee doesn't make us part of some elite club that doesn't socialize with non-amps. and besides, most of them are hemmin and hahhin about being treated different and "we're just like everyone else", yet the turn around and act like you're not welcome just cause you aren't different in the same way we are. this comment is getting ridiculously long, and i'm just ranting and raving, so it's probably best if i just shut up now. you have a fabulous day though.

There is nothing wrong with joining an amputee site to meet new people and make friends if you're not one. We are all human beings. Just because we are missing a limb dosen't make us any different. Obviously Paul sees it that way.

I feel it is alright for others to join this website. I have a friend whom worked with a amputee ski group, however he himself is not an amputee, and joined because he said 'I have never met such a wonderful group of people with a zeal for life.' He has a connection to amputee's

All the cards are laid on the table here and I like that. Paul obviously knows this also. And his honesty about not being an amputee should be appreciated.

Sorry to be so blunt, but if you are not disabled, what are you doing here? Why look for friends on an amputee website? I just don't get it...

Why not join a bowling league or go to the library... match.com or myspace.

There are thousands of ways to meet friends in life, I would never think to come here as a way to meet friends.

    Please respond.
