Hello.  I have never joined anything like this and I have surely never "blogged".  I also have never known any other amputees.  There are times when it would be great to talk to others and ask questions, so what the heck, I joined.

I have been an amputee for 20 years and, it is who I am.  I really don't remember anything different.  I was an 18 year old that "had it all planned out" before I lost my leg.  Boy, did things change for me.  I firmly believe life is what you make of it.  Life is all about your attitude.  I married my high school sweetheart, have a wonderful family and a successful career.  I am truly blessed.

There are times when I hurt so bad I can barely walk or move.  This is nothing a little rest can't cure.  There are times when I wish I could run with my kids. This is nothing a little fun at the game or in the pool doesn't fix.

Anyway, Hello to everyone.  Nice to meet you.
