    My new life

    Hi my name is Tammy I have been a double bka for less than a year. I am finding it very hard to deal with all by myself. I am joining this site to try and find some comfort in talking with people who really understand what I am I going through.

    Tammy, I know that it is not easy but I believe you will find the help and friendships that you need here. If I can be of any help at all then please email me and I will do all I can. Life may be a little more challenging now, but it is and can still be whatever you want it to be!

    Tammy,

    I too am a double bka amputee. I lost my legs in April of 07. It has been really hard but is getting better. I have my first prosthetics and am able to walk pretty well with my walker. I am just so glad to be alive and appreciate what I have left. The pain is better now and I try to keep a positive attitude. If any one understands losing both legs it is me.
