I have not been on this site for some time and I hope that everyone is doing well or doing!
Life has just been happening and I had a great summer. Went up north to do some fishing with some friends and had a blast. But mostly I have just been working and living.
I have a new leg since the old one was getting to big and I was wearing to many socks. I now have my new one and they made to molds of it and put my running leg on the second one so it is perminent now. I feel lucky to have such a great prosthetist and crew and great health insurance.
Running more and learning as I go along how to run farther without stump damage or pain.
I have for the most part figured out my skin and what it responds to when I blister and how many socks are good and how many "strangle" my limb. I am getting it and it will be three years on the 18th of this month. I am proud to be who I am and I do not apologize anymore. I figure it out.
Here is hoping that we all have a great year. No matter how many obstacles are put in our way. We are survivors. We figure out how to deal and over come. Lets be strong together.

Well another year is almost over! I have always spent thanksgiving day with family. This year I give thanks that I am spending thanksgiving day with friends who I consider my family. We are headed to Minneapolis to see our favorite rock n roll star. She plays a gig every thanksgiving day (night). Our friends are flying in from Seattle and driving in from IA. I couldn't be more excited..... I think that it will have to become a new tradition for us.
I am very thankful for this site and all my friends and family. I also give thanks for my ability to never give up or give in, but to give all I can when I can.
Give thanks to all of those around you who help you feel stronger, make you laugh, give you unconditional love, make prosthetics for you, so you can get around. Thanks to all who give and give...
A special thanks to my friend Kate, who is kickin cancers arse. She has given me a new meaning for unconditional. If you looked up that word you would see her name. We love you Katie and thanks for "Living Strong"!!!!

Thanks to all for your insite. It has been a week, however I have made it through with only missing a few hours of work for I was able to get right in and see my prosthetist. He filed down the back of the leg and also gave me ampu-balm. Putting it on the blisters decreases the rubbing of the liner on my skin and then my skin on the prosthesis. It is working. I am also putting warm Epson Salt compresses on the blisters and they are absorbing back into my body. All in all I have found a new way of dealing. Also, I just got my new prosthesis two months ago and I am shrinking like crazy for I am losing weight. So my prosthestist, Ken, who is a AK and I am grateful that he gets it... you know?? So we were talking and I am already wearing about a 13 ply to an 18 ply, depending on the day and what activities I have been doing. So, the new year is apon us and I shall be able to get another socket soon that fits better. My insurance only allowes me one new socket a year. I am being very vigilant about how many socks I am wearing for I am verying a lot in a day.
I am so thankful for all of your insite and I am soooooooo very glad that you are all out there and listening and responding with such great advice.
