    I'm back.. Summer is here

    Friday, April 18, 2008, 10:34 AM [General]

    Hie guys,

I have been gone for so long, but feels great to be back. Umm so much has been going on I have no idea where to start. Well ok, I suppose I could talk a little about my leg. The C-leg I got last year is working perfectly. I have been in the gym doing squats and lunges and have not had a single scratch, my kickboxing is working out fine and I have added spin every Tuesday. I bet y'll know that spin class is a killer, c-leg or not, but I still love it. I'll post some new pictures soon. I also bought a bike for the summer and am hiking. The sun is out in NJ now, Thank God finally.

I'm getting ready to go to CA for a rafting trip with my brother. This is the part where I leave my leg and go alone into the water, ooooo, I can;t wait. We are hoping to go camping too and I have to get a car charger for my c-leg. Grateful that I can actually do all these things. My doctor has been going nuts because I have been walking into his office every 2 week with my leg in hand and a need for repair, lol "Grace" takes so much abuse and still allows me to walk without any pain.

I bet there have been many more folks that joined since I last logged on. It would be nice to hear from you guys. I could go on about my 6 month hiatus, lol but a little bit at a time . Its good to be back and look forward to hearing from everyone. Summer is here, get out all those shorts and mini skirts and show off your lovely legs..

    New Limb

    Wednesday, September 26, 2007, 12:23 PM [General]

    Hey guys,

Great news!! I picked up my new limb yesterday and its sooo comfortable. I just have that weird feeling though as its still new and i'm not used to it yet. I was frustrated this morning as i tried to run down the stairs, only to realise that i can't yet. I'm in my office now and still feeling the discomfort that comes with the new leg. Yet anther C-leg, which i'm grateful for. I can't wait to get into my kickboxing class and show off my new moves. :).

Its days like these when i have to slow down and pace myself, that i get frustrated. But on the other hand, i'm happy that i can continue to live life and when i am able to run around as i usually do. Anyway, thats it for now. Just wanted to share the good news. :)

If I'm at a pool I will generally just take my leg off and get in, but at the beach it's tougher with the waves and surf etc. Just wondering if there is a better alternative out there.

You are in great shape!!! Not always the case with amputees. I drive my prostheticians nuts because they're used to more sedentary amputees and get tired of the abuse that my prosthesis goes through with all of my activities.
