    I'm moving to Canada (Vancouver)

    Hi Everyone.

Yes it's me again asking for more help. I'm moving to Canada (Vancouver) in about 6 weeks. I thought I had about 10 to 12 weeks to sort all this but my boss is getting someone new in sooner.

I'm just looking for information this time. I'm not asking to stay with anyone (Thanks to those in America who offered). All I really need to know is where are the best places to look for work? Does anyone know of good cheap accommodation? I've lived in some pretty bad places before so I'm not a fussy person.

I want to do this on my own as the buzz you get when you come out of the blood, sweat & tears on the other side is fantastic. But in saying that I can never be given to much information. Also is there anyone on this site that lives in Vancouver? It would be great to meet people & make some friends. This is going to be my 4th country I'm moving to & it can be a bit lonely to start with. So if there is anyone that would be up for meeting for coffee or showing me the city that would be great.

I hope I haven't offended anyone by posting this as it's not about my arm. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

    Thanks everyone.

Canada...make SURE to get a work permit...easy for a two year "Work Vacation"...it will restrict your work to less than a full year but Canada is way better than the US in this...I believe it is nine months in BC.

I've been looking at Ireland and England/Scotland from the US (not happening for the UK, despite the fact I have family there, one a citizen [my Sis] and my mother who live in London.)

Good luck and I wish you luck! Let me know if you have questions.
