I'm really happy to find this site and a lot of support.

I have a bone infection in my left leg, due to a leg fracture three years ago.  I have had multiple surgeries, and the infection is not clear, nor is the fracture healed.  I started with a pin and plate program which didn't work, and I believe, created the bone infection.  Then there was an external fixator.  That didn't work.  There have been IV antibiotics, bone stiumlators, you name it, they've tried it...after 7 surgeries (three major ones), I have been enocuraged to have a below the knee amputation of the left leg. 

 I'm still suffering from a lot of anxt about it...and hope this site can be a great resource for my issues.
