Ha!! I knew that title would get you to read my post!! :) I have a cover on my leg so it will look more natural...but seems like a lot of pictures I see on here have no cover...I understand for the men, but what about the women?? thanks!! Have a Blessed Day!!

I know my cover is not fooling anyone, but it makes me feel more comfortable anyway. I can wear skirts/shorts and feel normal (even though I still get stared at sometimes), and my pants are filled out properly. It's totally about vanity. I liked the way my leg looked without the cover, too, but I like it better with it. carolanne |

Keep your leg jewels shining; that's what make you stand out in a crowd :-) |

Hey Trish,
WolfjamI understand your concern. When I first became an amputee I was a male dancer(stripper) so to me, looking as real as possible was a true concern for me. However when I got my first prosthetic it was covered and in no way looked real. Since then every one I've had has been uncovered. I came to realize that I am missing a leg and always will be. Im good with that and am very comfortable with it also. I have a few female friends who are amputees as well and they're split on their feelings about it. I guess if your wearing a skirt or shorts, as a female, you'd want to be covered. My feeling is you do what makes you feel comfortable. As far as attention goes, I can say that I definately get more attention with the metal showing!LOL
