    About Me I love to play street hockey. I've played for a number of years up until the accident. I've been back playing and getting better and more mobile with each day. I recently took up running and am doing a 5k in December as well as a 5 mile in July 2012. I may do a few more runs in there. I run on the days I'm not playing street hockey, so I basically work out 6 or 7 days a week.
    Music I like all kinds of music. I always look forward to Creation NE.

    New socket

    I just recieved my new socket 5 days ago. The last one I had for over a year. I am trying to get used to the feel and trying to do a little running. It's always hard for me after any kind of change. Anyway I was cleaning the liner and noticed a tear on the inner liner. It's not the whole way through or losing suction but it's o nly 5 days old. Has anyone had this happen? What suggestions do you have? Help.

    Another 5k

    I will be running my second 5k on Saturday the 28th. I haven't been out running as much lately so I hope I'm still in good enough shape to do this. I better get out the rest of this week to practice a bit. Wish me luck.

    :) Thank you Troy! I am only new to the site though, been an Amputee for 25 years now. Mate, you will bounce back and rapidly learn to adapt, because you need to.. its all about living your life to the full. The way I see it, there are a lot of people out there with a spare leg! :)

    You know that might be one of the problems. I really never had time to do anything being a single mom of two boys I pretty much spent all my time working. The most exercise I get now is just going to the stores. Which sometimes can be lots of walking depending on which one we go to :) Im just having problems getting myself up to do anything.
